Costa Mesa is in California, on the West Coast, where the climate ranges from foggy coast to hot inland valleys, wildfire season can affect air quality in late summer, and traffic is the main thing to plan around. US addresses list the street number and name, then the city, state abbreviation and ZIP code, and Costa Mesa follows the same pattern; a suite or apartment number such as Ste 200 refers to a unit inside the building. The map link on this page shows the exact spot.

I've lived in Newport Beach for 25 years and just discovered Pizza D'Oro through a Google search I did for a place that specialized in Large Party Pizzas and catering size salads. AI recommended Pizza D'Oro as my best option. And boy did they get that right. The 28" Pizza is the biggest sheet style Pizza I have ever seen. But not only is it big, they somehow manage to deliver a terrific crust despite the size and very generous toppings. I ordered 3 28" inch pizzas with various toppings, and two half pans of their catering salads. This fed 50 people at a wonderful Baby Shower, with plenty of leftovers to send home with special guests! The whole process was very professional. I contacted Philip, the owner/founder's son, on the special catering line. He helped me develop an order based on my party size and wants. We arranged an exact pickup time so the pizzas were piping hot. Everything went smoothly. Our guests raved over the food. Great food at a great value. Thank you Philip and team! You helped make the party a great success. I highly recommend.

Discovered this place while waiting for a nearby restaurant. The wait was so long that we decided to give this place a try instead and it did not disappoint! They have some great deals and plenty of menu items to choose from including happy hour, lunch specials, and daily specials. We tried the beef lasagna combo as well as a giant sausage pizza slice. The portions are HUGE! The giant slice could easily feed two people and the lasagna combo was also very generous. We ended up with a ton of leftovers. We thought the lasagna combo was nothing special. The noodles seemed store bought rather than freshly made, and overall, it seemed to be missing some flavor. The pizza on the other hand was delicious! The crust was nice and crunchy, there was a generous amount of sausage, and the cheese to sauce ratio was just right. We both agreed that the pizza is definitely the way to go and we'll be coming back for more. Overall the restaurant has a really nice Italian ambiance. It's cozy, cute, and perfect for a casual date night. The service was also really good and the prices are incredibly reasonable especially considering the portion sizes. Definitely a hidden gem worth checking out.

First time here thought Iโ€™d give it a shot based on the reviews. I ordered the Sunday lasagna special, which was about $15. It was pretty good. The salad was the weak link. The pasta was good, huge portions and the service was very professional and attentive

โ€œI donโ€™t know what I want, I just know I like meat. Do you guys have anything like that?โ€ โ€œSure thing we have meat lovers!โ€ This probably has the best pizza ive ever tasted, and Iโ€™ve had pizza in Chicago, Naples, and Old Forge. To think I live in the same city as this place now too! CJ was such a kind soul, offering me a drink on the house while I waited for my order. After asking it was a family owned business, she was even kind of enough to give me a little history lesson of Pizza Dโ€™Oro. If the pizza isnโ€™t good enough to make you go back, CJโ€™s customer service will be. So glad I stopped by spontaneously! Definitely worth the travel if you live from afarโ€™

Iโ€™ve lived in the area for 13 years and never tried them until now! Wish I would have tried them sooner. Their pizza has a nice crust, with a crunch on it. They put a good amount of toppings and cheese on their pizzas. I ordered from them twice in a week because I really enjoyed it. A medium pizza is more like a large and a small pizza is more like a medium, so make sure you โ€˜downsizeโ€™. ๐Ÿ˜† Never thought Iโ€™d say that for a pizza. ๐Ÿ• Service was great both times I was there, so Iโ€™ll definitely be back when visiting family in SoCal.
